I was listening to the news and some podcasts on my morning run and that inspired my thoughts for this blog. I'll keep it quick because it's Friday night, but I had to get these thoughts down the way I imagined before the right words departed my mind.
The news was talking about COVID and the potential of a case spike. It's nothing different than what's talked about everyday, but it hit me a little different this morning.
After I got caught up on COVID news, I listened to a few different podcasts and they were all talking about struggle and how tough things are for a lot of people in the world right now. It's no secret that depression/anxiety has skyrocketed and statistics are showing that things aren't getting much better.
It's sad to hear that many people are facing such dark times right now because we've all had tough stretches in our lives. That's one of the things that makes us human so it's easy to be compassionate in the period that we're currently experiencing. I heard some upsetting stories today and that got me thinking about what's important in our lives.
The idea of importance differs for people, but I believe that a majority of society would say that family and true friends are two things that they value in their lives.
If this period has shown us anything it's that you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. I recommend taking that into account and going to give the people you love a hug because making their lives better is the most important thing that we can do everyday.
Have a great weekend everyone and I'll have more content for you next week with new episodes of TKP and more blogs!
