Loving the Process with UGA All Americans Jess & Sam Drop
My guests today are University of Georgia All-American runners Jess and Sam Drop. Jess and Sam are both entering their 5th year at Georgia with hopes of adding more accolades to their already impressive resumes. In Jess' career thus far, she is a three time member of the NCAA All-Region XC Team. In 2017 and 2019, she was also a NCAA XC All-American. Sam has also been extremely successful in her time at Georgia. She was the 2017 NCAA South Region XC champion, a 2018 honorable mention All-American in the outdoor 10k, and a NCAA XC All-American in 2017 and 2019. Both Drop sisters get the job done in the classroom as well as they've both appeared on the USTFCCCA XC All-Academic Team and most recently in 2020 Jess was named the SEC Women's Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year. So if you couldn't tell, the Drop sisters are LEGIT and it was a pleasure to get to talk with them on the podcast. In the episode I start by asking Jess and Sam some fun running questions in honor of Global Running Day and then we proceed to discuss their high school and college track careers, their involvement in the Athens, GA community, their Running Foodies Instagram account, and much more on this special Global Running Day episode of TKP!
